Australia is ahead of India and Saudi Arabia. Sydney and Melbourne are 7 to 8 hours ahead of Makkah, and Perth is 5 hours ahead. When your parents return from Isha, it is the early hours on the east coast, so your daily WhatsApp update is ready when you wake up.

The best season for elderly parents

Makkah and Madinah are much cooler from November to February, which makes walking to the Haram and tawaf easier for older pilgrims. It also lines up with Australia’s long December and January school holidays, if you want to join them with the children.

Our office and daily departures are in Hyderabad. We also arrange Umrah groups from other Indian cities, so choose your parents’ city to see dates, hotels and live prices.

Travel together

Joining your parents from Australia

Fly from Australia to Jeddah or Madinah, usually with one stop in the Gulf, and meet your parents’ group in Saudi Arabia. We book your hotel in the same building and arrange your airport transfer, so you perform Umrah together.

  • Australian passport holders can usually use the Saudi tourist eVisa, which allows Umrah outside the Hajj season.
  • Indian passport holders living in Australia usually need an Umrah visa arranged through an agent, which we can do for you.

Paying from Australia

Pay by international bank transfer from your Australian bank, or a family member can pay in rupees at our Hyderabad office. Packages are priced in rupees and your bank converts from Australian dollars. We confirm receipt on WhatsApp.

Documents your parents need

  • Recent photos with a white background
  • Meningitis (ACYW) vaccination certificate, required by Saudi Arabia
  • Nothing is needed from you in Australia

Questions from families in Australia

Can my brothers and sisters in India also receive updates?

Yes. We can share updates with you and with family members in India, so everyone knows how your parents are doing.

My mother uses a walking stick. Can she still perform Umrah?

Yes. Wheelchair assistance can be arranged at the airports and for tawaf and sa’i in the Haram, and we can book hotels closer to the Haram. Tell us about any mobility needs when you book.

Do I need to send any documents from Australia?

No. Your parents’ documents are collected in India. You only confirm the booking and make the payment.

Can I pay in Australian dollars?

Packages are priced in Indian rupees. Your Australian bank converts from dollars when you transfer, or a family member can pay in rupees at our office.

How far ahead should I book?

Four to six weeks is usually enough. For December and January, Ramadan and school holidays, book two to three months ahead.
