Easy for Muslim travellers
Azerbaijan is a Muslim-majority country, and halal food is widely available in Baku and the regions. Restaurants in tourist areas may also serve alcohol, so we suggest places that suit you. Mosques such as Bibi-Heybat and Taza Pir are well worth a visit.
Best time to visit Azerbaijan
April to June and September to October are the most pleasant, with mild days for the city and mountains. Summer is warm and busy; winter is cold and windy in Baku, with snow and skiing at Shahdag from about December to March.
