  • Batu Caves
  • Genting Highlands by Awana Skyway cable car
  • Langkawi SkyCab and Sky Bridge
  • Island hopping and eagle feeding in Langkawi
  • National Mosque and Merdeka Square

A Muslim-majority country

Islam is Malaysia’s official religion, so halal food is the norm in restaurants, hotels and street stalls, and prayer rooms (surau) are found in malls, petrol stations and attractions. The mosques of Kuala Lumpur and Putrajaya are among the most beautiful in Asia.

Best time to visit Malaysia

Kuala Lumpur and Genting are good all year, with warm days and short afternoon showers. For Langkawi’s beaches, November to April is the driest and calmest season. Genting is cool all year, so carry a light jacket.
