For NRI families in the UK
Umrah for your parents from the UK
For families in London, Birmingham, Manchester, Leicester and Bradford, sending parents for Umrah from India is usually simpler and far more affordable than bringing them to the UK first. You arrange and pay from Britain. Your parents join our group from Hyderabad or another major Indian city, with a group leader throughout.

Your options
Three ways families in the UK plan it
1. Your parents travel from India
The most popular option. Your parents join a group departure with others from their community, and our group leader looks after them throughout.
2. Meet them in Saudi Arabia
Fly from London or Manchester to Jeddah or Madinah and join your parents’ group. We book your hotel in the same building and arrange your transfer.
3. Umrah on the way home
Parents already visiting you in the UK can fly to Saudi Arabia, perform Umrah with our group, and then fly home to India.

Departure cities
Where do your parents live?
Most families we serve are in Hyderabad, where our office is. We also arrange Umrah groups from other Indian cities. Choose your parents’ city for dates, hotels and live prices.
A close time zone
The UK is only 4½ hours behind India in summer and 5½ in winter, and just 2 to 3 hours behind Saudi Arabia. Evening in Makkah is late afternoon in the UK, so you can often speak to your parents the same day. We also send a short daily WhatsApp update.
Paying from the UK
Pay by international bank transfer from your UK bank, or a family member can pay in rupees at our Hyderabad office. Packages are priced in rupees and your bank converts from pounds. Payment can be split with siblings in India.
Visas for everyone travelling
- Parents with Indian passports: Umrah visa through us, with a passport valid 6 months, photos and a meningitis (ACYW) certificate
- British passport holders: usually the Saudi tourist eVisa, which allows Umrah outside the Hajj season
- Indian passport holders living in the UK: may qualify for the Saudi eVisa with a valid UK residence permit or visa
Planning around UK holidays
- Half-term, Easter and the summer holidays work well if the grandchildren are coming
- Ramadan departures fill early, so book two to three months ahead
- Four to six weeks ahead is usually enough at other times
- Umrah is not possible during the Hajj season

Questions
Questions from families in the UK
Is it cheaper to send my parents from India than to book a UK Umrah package?
Usually, yes, by a wide margin. Your parents avoid the UK visa and long-haul flights to Britain, and our packages are priced in rupees. Compare our live prices on the city pages with a UK package for the same dates.
My parents only speak Urdu or Telugu. Will they manage?
Yes. Our team speaks with them in their own language, and they travel with a group leader who speaks Urdu and Hindi.
Can we plan Umrah in Ramadan?
Yes, but Ramadan departures fill early and cost more. Message us two to three months ahead for the best choice of dates and hotels.
Can my brothers and sisters in India share the cost?
Yes. Payment can be split between family members in the UK and in India, and we send each person a receipt for their share.
How early should we book?
Four to six weeks ahead is usually enough for the visa and a good hotel. For UK school holidays and Ramadan, book earlier.
