1. Overview
At Yaseen Overseas, we strive to provide seamless travel experiences. However, we understand that plans can change. This policy outlines how refunds are handled for visa services, flight bookings, and tour packages. Please note that Yaseen Overseas acts as a facilitator, and our policy is governed by the underlying rules of consulates, airlines, and hotels.
2. Visa Consulate & Government Fees
Visa fees are paid directly to the respective sovereign governments and diplomatic missions.
-
Strict Non-Refundability: Once a visa application fee (MRV fee) is paid or the application is submitted to the consulate, the fee is 100% non-refundable and non-transferable.
-
Outcome Independent: Fees are charged for the processing of the application, not the result. No refund will be issued if a visa is rejected, delayed, or granted for a shorter duration than requested.
-
Service Fees: Our professional consultancy and documentation fees are non-refundable once the document verification and processing have begun.
3. Airline Ticket Refunds
Refunds for flight tickets are strictly governed by the Fare Rules of the specific airline (e.g., Air India, Emirates, Qatar Airways).
-
Refundable vs. Non-Refundable: * Flex Fares: Usually allow for a refund with a standard cancellation penalty.
-
Value/Lite Fares: Often non-refundable; only certain government taxes may be recovered.
-
-
No-Show Policy: If a passenger fails to check in or cancel within the airline’s “No-Show” window (typically 2–4 hours before departure), the ticket usually loses all value and is ineligible for a refund.
-
Visa Rejection Clause: Some airlines may offer a refund (minus an admin fee) if a ticket is cancelled due to a visa rejection. This requires proof of rejection from the embassy and is subject to the airline’s approval.
4. Tour Package Cancellations
Since we prepay hotels and transport providers to secure your booking, the following tiered cancellation charges apply:
| Cancellation Period | Cancellation Charge |
| 30+ days before departure | Processing Fee + 10% of Package Cost |
| 15–29 days before departure | 50% of Total Package Cost |
| 0–14 days before departure | 100% of Total Package Cost (No Refund) |
Note: Specific luxury hotels or peak-season bookings may have stricter “No Refund” policies which will be communicated at the time of booking.
5. Visa Rejection Impact
If your travel is cancelled because your visa was rejected:
-
Yaseen Overseas is not liable for any financial loss.
-
Airline and hotel cancellation penalties will still apply as per their standard terms. We highly recommend purchasing Travel Insurance that covers “Cancellation due to Visa Refusal” to mitigate this risk.
6. Refund Processing Timeline
-
Submission: Refund requests must be made in writing via email to [email protected]
-
Processing Time: Once approved, airline refunds typically take 15–30 working days to reflect in your original payment method, depending on the airline’s internal cycles.
-
Mode of Refund: All refunds will be processed back to the original source of payment. We do not provide cash refunds for digital transactions.
7. Force Majeure
In the event of “Acts of God” (natural disasters, pandemics, war, or sudden government travel bans), Yaseen Overseas will work to secure credit notes or waivers from suppliers, but we cannot guarantee liquid refunds if the suppliers (airlines/hotels) do not provide them.
Implementation Tips:
-
“Bold” Critical Points: Ensure the parts about non-refundable visa fees are bolded so customers cannot claim they weren’t informed.
-
Insurance Recommendation: Mentioning travel insurance (as done in Point 5) shifts the burden of “loss” away from you and onto an insurance provider.
-
Signature/Acknowledgment: If you handle physical documents in your Banjara Hills office, have clients sign a copy of this policy before you take their visa fees.
