Mandatory Document Checklist (2026 Update)

South Korea has introduced “Enhanced Screening Protocols” for Indian applicants in 2026. Documents must be extremely precise.

 

  • Identity: Passport (6 months validity) + 2 photos (3.5 x 4.5 cm, white background, matte finish, taken in last 3 months).

     

  • Financial Proof:

    • Personal Bank Statements: Last 6 months (original, stamped/signed).

       

    • Target Balance: Healthy balance of ₹2–3 Lakhs is recommended to avoid rejection.

       

    • Income Tax: Last 2 years of ITR acknowledgments.

  • Occupational Proof:

    • Employed: Leave approval letter + 3 months’ salary slips.

    • Self-Employed: Business registration + GST certificate + 2 years’ audited financials.

       

  • Itinerary: Confirmed round-trip flight booking + hotel confirmation (must cover the full duration).

     

  • Student Special (D-2): Certificate of Admission (COA) from the Korean University + TB test result (mandatory for Indian nationals).
