Dubai Visa on Arrival for Indians
Some Indian travellers don’t need a visa in advance. Do you hold a valid visa, residence permit or Green Card from the US, the UK or the EU? Then you can get a 14-day visa on arrival.

Visa rules for Indian travellers
Do Indians need a visa to visit Dubai?
Yes, most Indian passport holders need a visa arranged in advance. Only travellers who meet the visa-on-arrival conditions can get a visa at the airport, according to the UAE Government portal.
Who can get a Dubai visa on arrival with an Indian passport?
You qualify if you hold a valid visa, residence permit or Green Card from the United States, the United Kingdom or the EU. Since 13 February 2025, residence permits from Australia, Canada, Japan, New Zealand, South Korea and Singapore also qualify.
How long is the visa on arrival valid?
GDRFA Dubai states that the visa on arrival allows a 14-day stay. It can be extended once for a similar period.
How long must my passport be valid?
Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months from your date of entry into the UAE.
What is the 5-year multiple entry tourist visa?
It lets you enter the UAE many times on self-sponsorship. You can stay up to 90 days on each visit, and extend once for a further 90 days. The UAE issues it to all nationalities.

Where do I apply for a UAE tourist visa?
The UAE Government says tourist visas are arranged through airlines, licensed travel agents or hotels. You can also apply online through ICP or GDRFA Dubai.
Can I get a Dubai tourist visa from the UAE embassy?
No. According to the UAE Government, UAE embassies do not issue tourist visas. Instead, a UAE airline, a licensed travel agent or a hotel applies on your behalf.
Can I apply without visiting an office?
Yes. The Dubai tourist visa is an e-visa, so only scanned documents are needed. As a result, travellers anywhere in India can apply online.
What happens if I overstay my UAE visa?
Overstaying leads to daily fines and can affect future travel. For example, ICP states a fine of AED 50 per day for visa-on-arrival holders who stay beyond the permitted period.
