Qatar Tourist Visa

Qatar is a peninsular Arab country whose terrain comprises arid desert and a long Persian Gulf shoreline of beaches and dunes. Also on the coast is the capital, Doha, known for its futuristic skyscrapers and other ultramodern architecture inspired by ancient Islamic design, such as the limestone Museum of Islamic Art. The museum sits on the city’s Corniche waterfront promenade.

Tourist visa can be obtained on arrival for the nationals of 34 countries including British nationals.

For other nationals visa should be obtained in advance through a sponsor in Qatar who should arrange the required visa through the Qatari Ministry of Interior. The sponsor could be your relatives or friends who resides in Qatar or the hotel where you will be staying. You only need to provide the sponsor with a photocopy of your passport.

Please note that:
– Travel documents or temporary passports are not accepted.
– To process a visa, allow at least ten working days (we advise to obtain the visa before you plan your
journey).
– Fees for rejected or withdrawn visa applications are non-refundable.
– The Consular Section is not obliged to give any explanation for not issuing a visa (refused visas).
  Tourist visas requirements (from the Embassy)
-Two original photos (passport size) one attached to the form and the other loose.
 Original passport valid for at least than six months from the date of travel and has at least one blank
page.
Original bank statements for the last three months and a photo copy of it to enable us to return the
originals
-the bank statement must show name, address of the applicant and at least 850 pounds in the closing
balance.
-Joint, saving, and current account all accepted,
-Online bank accounts holders should get a signed print out from their local branch.
-If you are traveling with partner or family one bank statement could be provided on behalf of all
travelers
-If you are unable to provide a bank statement which shows the required funds, you can provide
your next of kin’s bank statement alone with his or her passport photocopy and a signed consent to
accept the liability
Fees are payable in postal order only made payable to the Embassy of the State of Qatar only.
Registered or recorded self-addressed envelope must be supplied for any applications made by
post to enable the Visa Section to return the passport. The Embassy will not be responsible for any
loss of passport by post.
If you are non UK passport holder you have to provide a proof of residency in the UK.
